    The successful candidate will be someone who has excellent communication skills, is collaborative, is a though leader in employee relations and engagement, is a proven HR business partner, champions employee needs, facilitates issue resolution, is well organized and is experienced in developing policy and administering benefits.




    Employee and Leadership Engagement

    • Develops and delivers presentations regarding human resources policies and best practices in compensation, benefits, and employee engagement and retention.
    • Coordinates annual employee survey and Benefits Committee meetings
    • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
    • Provide counseling to employees to resolve human resources issues.
    • Advises managers in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
    • Develops memorandums and communications advising the Leadership Team and Business Area Managers (BAMs) of Company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits.


    Compensation Analysis

    • Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rates.
    • Analyzes wage and salary data to develop competitive compensation plans.


    Employee Recruiting, Onboarding, Separation

    • Participates in the recruiting and selection process to fill vacant positions.
    • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Company goals.
    • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation.


    Benefits Administration

    • Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan; personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations; and employee statistics for government reporting.
    • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, 401(k) plans, leave of absence, FMLA and employee assistance.


    Compliance Policy and Administration

    • Consults legal counsel to ensure that Company policies comply with federal and state law.
    • Maintains a human resources information system (HRIS) that meets BAM information needs as well as supports the annual EEO/AAP reports.
    • Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
    • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
    • Coordinates training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, security, ethics compliance, insider threat and sexual harassment.
    • Works with BAMs to develop and administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization. 
    • Works with BAMs to administer salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
    • Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.


    Education and /or Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and three years related experience; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • Knowledge of and experience with human resource information systems (HRIS).
    • Knowledge of and experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
    • Certification: SHRM CP or PHR (or demonstrable progress toward completion)
    • Knowledgeable of and in agreement with HR Business Partner principals and ideals.
