The candidate will provide technical oversight of a project solution, including requirement interpretation and allocation of requirements to technical components. They will support processes to implement requirements. They are responsible for ensuring that technical solutions leverage industry best practices, designing for security and excellence while minimizing the total cost of ownership. Candidate should be able to define internal and external customer IT infrastructure architecture needs and then provide solution options to meet those needs to include, capacity planning, systems configuration and tuning, monitoring, backups, hardware and software installations. Candidate will be required to work independently with little supervision and should be flexible to work and support IT Operation needs as requested. • Supports network and system configurations of user environments. • Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements. • Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed. • May provide technical support and troubleshooting to users. • May perform network administration duties. • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. • Participates in special projects as required. • Identifying possible problems and providing documented responses. • Technical requirements management. • Complex problem management research and issue resolution. • Assist with day to day complex system administration (Windows and Linux) tasks as necessary. • IT Operations process improvement recommendations and implementation. • Automation of administrative tasks through scripting. • Function as an inter/intra-group liaison as projects require.




  • Knowledge of Network Infrastructure components from CISCO, Juniper, and SonicWall.
  • Hands on experience with Cisco iOS, NXOS, and JunOS.
  • Hands on experience with Windows, Linux, and OSX operating systems.
  • Knowledge of IP Addressing and TCP/IP networking.
  • Hands on experience with Network Packet Capture Analysis tools, such as Wireshark, SiLK, and SNoRT.
  • Hands on experience with Network Packet Capture Appliances, such as Netwitness, Solera, and Probe.
  • Hands on experience with OpenSource network security products, such as Vyatta, Sophos UTM, and pfSense.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with PowerShell, BASH Scripting, and Perl scripting.
  • SQL 2005/2008, Oracle 10g/11g, and MySQL experience.
  • Microsoft System Center experience.
  • EMC Clarion/Symmetrix experience.
  • VMware ESX experience.
  • Experience with planning, designing, implementation and maintenance of infrastructure including cisco routers, switches, wireless networking, VPN’s, Firewalls and network security.
  • Experience providing recommendations in technical standards, security standards, and operational assurance.
  • Experience providing recommendations to architecture and design reviews.
  • Experience interfacing with vendors and third party producers.
