The Candidate will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of multiple Linux systems across separate networks to endure availability, reliability, and performance. The Linux systems include high performance distributed computing environments, high security systems, and other mission critical systems. General tasks include working with users to resolve tickets, patching infrastructure, working with engineering to improve supportability, maintaining access controls, configuring and maintaining patch repositories.



  • BS in Computer Science or related field or extensive hands-on experience working in technology-based positions;
  • 8+ years of Linux Systems Administration experience; hands-on experience with YUM and APT repositories. Ability to create and modify scripts to automate routine tasks and to perform complex tasks (Bash, Perl, Python).
  • Knowledge of and experience with application delivery solutions. Experience supporting a medium sized (~500) user environment


  • Experience with various Linux distributions including Red Hat, Ubuntu, and Debian.
  • Experience with Splunk and ArcSight. Experience with user and server certificates.
  • Experience with software tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Cobbler, etc., to automate provisioning and configuration tasks.
  • Experience maintaining system security plans. Ability to lead technical teams to success
