Candidates must already possess a current and active TS/SCI with Poly clearance to be considered for this position

Responsibilities

The Candidate will support the operations and maintenance of the customer’s operational networks. The Candidate will maintain the hardware and software systems and ensure availability, reliability, and performance of the customer’s networks. General tasks include supporting a large diverse network topology consisting of load balancers, switches, routers, firewalls, and other networking equipment. The Candidate will be responsible for upgrades, break-fix, support, and problem resolution.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BS in Computer Science or related field or extensive hands-on experience working in technology-based positions;
  • 8+ years of Network Engineering experience; hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus equipment to include the ability to create application specific configurations as well as troubleshoot existing configurations.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls.
  • Hands-on experience with load balancers.
  • CCNA certification at a minimum;
  • experience with and ability to accurately explain networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, VPN’s, clustering, DNS, etc.

Desired:

  • Experience with F5 Global Traffic Manager (GTM) and Local Traffic Manager (LTM).
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus 5000/2000 series hardware.
  • Experience with Juniper SRX series hardware.
  • Experience with IPS/IDS systems to include network impacts. Ability to lead technical teams to success.
